December – Saturday 10th.
It’s the Christmas tree festival in the church from 2pm. Many people will be setting this up in the morning, but if you fancy some outdoor time, there are always jobs to do in the churchyard.
January – Saturday 14th.
Meet 9.30am onwards in the churchyard to work on the compost bins. Bring a hot drink for 11am refreshment break. Gloves needed.
January usually sees the first snowdrops appearing, building to a peak in February. Other spring flowers seem to appear earlier each year; look out for primrose, winter aconite, lesser celandine and the ubiquitous daisy.
