Bowling membership (which includes social membership) is £35 per year.
Social membership is £17.50 per year.

Great Waldingfield Bowls Club began in 1986, when a group of village gentleman
decided they would like to begin one. At the same time, Sudbury Bowls Club were
replacing their building, so the old one was up for sale for £1000. The enterprising
men asked the villagers if they would like to put a pound in each, towards the
purchase of the building.

The Sudbury clubhouse was dismantled and a group of volunteers recreated it on
the site in Great Waldingfield, where it is now. After a lot of hard work and
determination, the club opened its doors in 1988, with over a hundred bowling
members. Colin Mitchell was the first Chairman, he donated a cup which is still
competed for to this day.

Over the years the membership numbers have dramatically declined, which is very
sad. The club belongs to the village, so it would be great to welcome our community to join in the events we have throughout the year.

We have a bar and a small kitchen where we serve light refreshments. We play competitions and friendly matches between club members, which can get very competitive.

If you are interested to have a roll up, one of our members will be on hand to offer you a free go and talk you through the membership over a cuppa.

We have lots of events throughout the year including, bingo, entertainment nights,
quizzes, horse racing, monthly whist and weekly bridge. We also have some new
ideas when things are back to normal.

Come and say hello, all new bowling and social members will be warmly welcomed.
