Buses serving Great Waldingfield
Have you thought about taking the bus for a trip into Sudbury or Bury St Edmunds and leaving the car at home? Here is some information which you may find helpful.
Chambers Bus 753 runs Monday to Saturday roughly every hour. From the stops in Ten Trees Road, opposite the Post Office, you can go into Sudbury via Acton and Long Melford, or to Bury St Edmunds via Lavenham. You can use your Bus Pass and you don’t need to book. The maximum fare per journey at the moment is still £2.

Felix Coaches 700 runs Monday to Friday three times a day on a circular route into Sudbury. It leaves Sudbury Bus Station at 10.00am, 2.00pm and 4.00pm and stops along Folly Road and Bantocks Road, calling at the Valley Road end of Bantocks Road at 10.28am, 2.20pm and 4.28pm respectively. It then calls at the Health Centre and Tescos before arriving back at Sudbury Bus Station at 10 minutes before 11.00am, 3.00pm and 5.00pm. Again you can use your bus pass and don’t need to book.

Go Start Community Transport 112 calls at the Post Office on a Tuesday and Thursday at 9.55am. However, if you ring them the day before, they will pick you up at the layby near to the pub. The return bus leaves Sudbury Bus Station at 12.30pm and will drop you either at the Post Office, or if you ask the driver, close to the pub.
Again you can use your bus pass and don’t need to book.

Go Start also provides a door to door service Monday to Friday, covering areas approximately 8 miles from Sudbury. At the moment a return fare from Great Waldingfield to Sudbury would be £6.00 – please check when you book.
Timetables are available in the Village Hall and are on display in the Church Notice Board outside the Post Office.
