Annual Parish Meetings are not always the most exciting events, so this year, the Parish Council decided to change the format a bit. We invited the organisations in the village to come and have a table at a Meet and Greet session from 3 – 6 pm in the Village Hall. We felt this would allow residents to come and find out about the organisations and be able to ask questions of those they were most interested in. As well as directly meeting with Parish, County and District Councillors.
We also asked for written reports so that these could be available for anyone to read either at the meeting or on the website under the Annual Parish Meeting 2024.
The Annual Parish Meeting proper was then held from 6 -7 pm when I gave a presentation showing how the current Council is organised and what we have managed (and not managed!) to achieve this year.
After the presentation members of the public were invited to ask questions or bring up any issues that they wanted to.
We feel that it was a very successful afternoon/evening and hope to repeat it again next year.
