The world’s top cyclists will return to Suffolk as the county hosts the final stage of the Women’s Tour on Saturday 9th October.
This year’s Women’s Tour champion will be crowned in Suffolk following a day of racing between Haverhill and Felixstowe (155 kilometres)
A characteristic scenic route through the county will take the peloton past the Melford Hall stately home and through Sudbury before passing along the runaway at Wattisham Flying Station. We expect it to pass though Great Waldingfield around 12.30pm coming from the B1115 Sudbury Road.
More details are on the tour website www.womenstour.co.uk The traffic management company will be out along the route about 2 weeks prior to the event and will erect road signs.
Come and join us in giving them a warm welcome and BIG cheer around 12.30pm as the tour passes through Great Waldingfield!
Twelve of the world’s top 15 teams will be in action at this year’s Women’s Tour (Monday 4 – Saturday 9 October), the UK’s most prestigious women’s cycle race.
