Neighbourhood Plan

Your chance to vote in the Neighbourhood Plan Referendum.

Babergh District Council are holding a referendum at the Village Hall between 7 am and 10 pm. You should have already received your polling cards if you are eligible to vote and a postcard with more details will be delivered through your door next week.

You can vote in person on the day or, if you have a postal vote, return it as instructed.

You will just need to answer yes or no to the following question:

Do you want Babergh District Council to use the. Neighbourhood Plan for Great Waldingfield to help it decide planning applications in the Neighbourhood Plan area?

If more than 50% of the turnout vote ‘yes’ then Babergh will be legally required to adopt the NP as part of its planning framework.

You can access the referendum version of the plan here:

Please do come and vote – this plan has been six years in the making!
