Grant Awarded!

Wonderful News for Our Village and Its Heritage!

St Lawrence Church has been awarded a £102,237 grant from The National Lottery Heritage Fund to restore our extraordinary mosaic Reredos – a treasure crafted in 1869 with stones brought back from Italy, Egypt, and the Holy Land.

This rare piece of sacred art is a vital part of our Grade I listed church, and thanks to National Lottery players, its beauty and history won’t be lost to time.

This project has been made possible with The National Lottery Heritage Fund.

As part of the restoration, we’ll also be hosting a series of Heritage Engagement Events, inviting the community to explore our shared past and celebrate the stories that connect us.
