Village Walk – Sunday 12th April

Meet 2pm outside Cherry Lane garden centre in Long Melford using the Hare Drift car park opposite the entrance to Kentwell Hall.

We’ll walk via Kentwell Hall, Kiln Farm, Bridge Street and the Chad Brook. 5 miles and 2 hours via tracks and footpaths. Good for historic buildings, ancient woodlands, wild flowers.

 

Update. Our rights of way officer from Suffolk County Council has visited the site of the floods on footpath FP4 by Anglian Water. We are trying to work with them to resolve this issue.

 

There is a new fence across the traditional access to the airfield just beyond the bowls club. This fence separates land belonging to Suffolk County council from that belonging to the grain store company. Further discussions will be needed.
