Village Walk – Sunday 14th June

Ancient places; a hill fort, an ancient woodland and a very old tree. Meet 2.30pm at ‘The Fox and Hounds’ public house in Groton, Fox and Hounds, Church Street, Groton, CO10 5ED. The pub has a car park and is open from 12pm to 8pm.

 

We will walk to Groton Wood and then back on a circular route of about 5 miles, 2-3 hours, depending on how much time we spend looking at things along the way. You could let me know if you are coming; email dlyntont@aol.com

 

Last month we did a local walk to High Wood, learning about spring flowers and seeing a duck with 10 tiny ducklings on the stream at Hole Farm.

 

No news yet on the fenced off access to the airfield near the bowls club.
