As you may know, the Chilton Woods development has outline planning permission for 1,150 new homes, a quarter of which will be designated as ‘affordable’ for rent or shared ownership, as well as land for a new primary school with pre-school facilities on the site, a village centre with new shops and community hall. A significant proportion of the site will be allocated as green space.
Planning permission for the first phase of 200 new homes, known as Maidenfields was granted in March 2021, with the first homes going on sale in September 2021.
Feedback from the local community has helped to shape the proposals to this point, and Taylor Wimpey are now inviting people to have their say on the second phase comprising 243 homes, of which 30% will be affordable.
They will be holding an online public consultation from 5pm on 31st January to 14th February 2022, and a webinar at 2pm on 2nd February, where you can ask questions of the project team. (A recording of this webinar will be uploaded to the website).
Details of the application will be available to view at www.taylorwimpey.co.uk/chilton-woods
